Smile –

He wasn’t standing in cold jail cells
she took him back
she gave him kind smiles back
he ate all the eggs, bacon, milk
she gave him kind smiles back
he kicked holes in every door
she gave him kind smiles back
he read the paper, first, last
she gave him kind smiles back
he put cigarette burns in her nearly new couch
she gave him kind smiles back
he denied recycling worked
she gave him kind smiles back
he shredded her photos
she gave him kind smiles back
he microwaved her cell phone
she gave him kind smiles back
he dusted-down his knuckle duster
she gave him kind smiles back
he rampaged all over her face
she gave him kind smiles back
he dropped a hammer on her knee
she gave him kind smiles back
his brother moved in on licence
she gave them kind smiles back
they sold all her furniture
she gave them kind smiles back
they melted-down her jewellery
she gave them kind smiles back
they faked her signature
she gave them kind smiles back
they shared her five foot three
she gave them kind smiles back
they laughed at her five foot three
she gave them gun
